Default Just my basic pve load - suggestions welcome (W/Rt)

Well, this is just my most recent loadout i've been running around with, thought i'd see if anyone has suggestions crits. Thnx

Strength 8+1 (just for shield req)
Swordsmanship 12+1+2
restoration 10

Death avoidance -

Weapon of warding, for 9sec +3 hp regen & 50% chance to block
Wielders Boon, heal for 45, additional 30 if under a weapon spell (use after warding, dur)

Death Administering -

For great justice - use at the beginning of the battle to get adrenaline level up to par as quickly as possible.

Dragon Slash {E} - strike for +40dmg & gain 5 strikes of adrenaline. once adrenaline is up, i usually spam this often as possible to keep the levels high enough to feed other adren skills (cost 10adren)

Silverwing slash +40dmg (cost 8adren)

Sever artery & gash to use in the mid range adrenaline levels

Jaizhenju strike - +40 dmg (cost 5nrg) cannot be blocked or evaded. Use for evasive bastards, and when adrenaline is too low for other skills.

And there it is. Basically all i do is wait for the adrenaline to get high enough, once i can spam dragon slash, its:

Dragon slash - silverwing - sever artery&gash or Jaizhenju (depending on nrg/adrenaline circumstance)........repeat.

Thanks

FGJ and Dragon Slash is a really nice combo but I find it works nicer with a pure bar of damage bonus attacks. When I ran it with sever/gash I found I had them charged far more often than I needed. With Standing/Silverwing/Galrath/Dragon you can't go wrong.

i'd drop some of the attack skills and take an Increased attack spead stance(tiger stance, flurry) and some armor boosting skills (watch yourself mainly). One thing you have to remember is you are'nt a ritualist your a warrior, look at what advantages your primary gives you that your secondary does'nt and build on them.

Yeah, I've played around w/ flurry some for attack speed, and for the initial adren build up, it seems about the same effectiveness as FGJ, but the nice thing is it recharges much faster.....though i'm not crazy about its decreased dmg. I know if you're 'tanking' less dmg isn't a huge deal, but I figure if you kill it quicker, you have to tank it less *shrug* (keep in mind, though i've played for some time, this is my first Warrior primary).

As far as 'not being a ritualist' though, I can't really agree there. This particular setup only uses two Rt skills, for evasion / healing. The 50% chance to block of 'warding' is less than some war stances, but it also give +3hp regen.....and considering i was using it as a precursor to 'wielders boon', didn't seem like a bad idea. I guess i'm just not clear on how you'd think i'm trying to be a Rt (i have one of those as well), its not like i'm spamming spirits or something. *shrug* Heh, i know you'll probably say using a warrior evasion stance w/ healsig is more effective, and i wont argue that, though i think it'd foolish to simply dismiss all your 2nd professions ability options......they're there for a reason.

And speaking of that, @ Jestah, only prob. i saw there was w/ standing, the additional dmg bonus is while stanced, which actually works well if i replace 'warding' & 'boon' w/ 'bonetti's' (or other stance) & 'standing'. I'll have to look into galwraths, being my first warrior, i'm still not familiar w/ all the skill options......so you're guys input is appreciated.

Thanks ;-)

I always run an IAS stance with that combo. I've said countless times before, a tank is a waste of a party slot. Even in PvE, with the new AI it's almost impossible to maintain enough aggro to make using defensive skills worth it. The only exceptions are party shouts like Watch Yourself.

People feel good about themselves knowing they can absorb a lot of damage and completely miss the fact that nine thenths of a mob will head straight for the backline. They usually judge their success on whether or not *they* die not the party and so perpetutate the idea that tanks can actually play a role in a party.

Since factions (and even before) no one is getting anywhere near my party with a "stance tank". A warrior's basic high armor alone is enough for absorbing the first wave of damage and after that good luck trying to persuade mobs to attack you.

That was nothing personal by the way, just a rant about tanking in general. I'm aware they have thier uses in very special circumstances (solo, duo, elite missions etc.) but for typical party play the whole idea just makes me mad.
